HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!

I honestly can’t believe how quickly 2017 passed, but with all the celebrations, now’s not the time to dwell. Let’s get started!

Last night, we headed over to a friend’s house for a “little” party to “bridge the year. It got pretty wild

 

Our hostess really went out of her way to get everyone excited

….. oh, did I forget the food? and booze?

Everything at the party was not only delicious, it was all HOMEMADE!!!

Needless to say, we were pretty pooped this morning, but the celebration didn’t end. In China, it’s tradition to visit a temple to welcome the new year and get started on the right foot. Thus, we headed to the beautiful Chen Hua temple at the center of the historic Yu Gardens

Obviously we weren’t the only ones with this idea.

Tip: never take pictures inside a temple.

To cap things off, my aunt invited us for a beautiful lunch.

I don’t know about you, but  that’s enough celebrating for me. 2018 is not here and I hope everyone has a great year
