Hi!! Since my early decision apps are done, I have some extra time this week. More time= More food right?. Usually, yes, but I’m switching things up a bit this week. How about a drink?! Beer Latte anyone?
I’ll admit, this idea isn’t mine.
The idea may be Starbuck’s, but that didn’t mean I couldn’t make my own (slightly) healthier and cheaper version. Well, let’s get brewing
Beer Latte
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup beer
- 1.5 cups milk of choice
- 1 packet instant expresso
- Sweetener, to taste
- 2 egg whites for “foam”, optional ( whipped topping or steamed milk also works)
Directions
Combine beer, milk, expresso and sweetener in a saucepan. Bring to a gentle boil, then reduce heat and simmer until alcohol burns off. Place in a blender and blend on high for about a minute until frothy. Add topping of choice
If using egg whites, follow the “nitro brew” instructions here

Tip: Use a dark beer like Chimay. This will provide a deeper, richer flavor.
