Favourite Costco Finds!

Hi!!! As the title suggests, I’m trying something new. I’m never one to catch trends, but taking over 5 years to do one of the simplest, most well received type of posts: Favourite Finds

Costco has been an absolute life saver the past couple of months, so I figured I’d give it some love. Here are my top 5:

Australis Barramundi Filets- I LOVE fish. One of my favourites is Chilean Sea bass. Unfortunately, even the melt in your mouth butteriness can’t hide the environmental cost. Luckily, Costco came up with a solution. Barramundi may not be as rich, but it’s just as tender and juicy with the same incredibly delicate mouthfeel. Good conscience and great taste all for a good price- Now that’s a deal!

Kirkland Signature Wild Sockeye Salmon- Salmon is special- it’s the one fish my brother actually likes. It’s also pricey, especially wild, well sourced salmon. Here’s where Costco comes in. Less than $16 for a 3lb bag!

Angelic Bake House Sprouted Grain Bread- My breakfast for the past 6 years has basically been 2 slices of bread and 2 eggs. Sprouted grain bread totally changed my breakfast game; then Costco changed the sprouted grain bread game. Unlike most brands, the Angelic Bake House version doesn’t have to be refrigerated, and Costco makes it affordable.

Kirkland Signature Protein Bars- I LOVE Quest Bars. The only problem is that they’re expensive. As with everything, Costco has a solution. They’ve really managed to nail the taste and texture- for less that 1/2 the cost ($1/Costco bar). The flavour selection is a bit limited, but they’re got the best ones- PB Chocolate, Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, Cookies and Cream and Double Chocolate

Sarah Lee Bee Company Raw Honeycomb- I’m always open to trying new foods (offal anyone?). So when my mom came back one day with raw honeycomb, I was more than excited to try. The verdict: It’s magical! Even better, honeycomb is said to have a myriad of of health benefits. True or not, I certainly didn’t need any more excuses to eat more. Enjoy with cheese and fruit for the ultimate luxe plate! Note: Apparently, honeycomb is seasonal and Costco ran out ??!!

The verdict is clear- Costco is the best! There are probably hundreds of other finds I’ve yet to discover. I’d love to hear from everyone!
