Hi!!! The 5th Pittsburgh adventure is in the books, and although I’m generally not superstitious, 5 holds special meaning for me. Guess what, this adventure turned out special without me even planning it- I shared this adventure with a friend for the first time!
The plan was to watch JoJo Rabbit, but turns out the movie isn’t out, so we headed out to take full advantage of the (perfect) weather . Let’s go!
Point State Park
Point State Park is a beautiful 36 acre park right in downtown. It features an amazing fountain:
as well as a good slice of history with the Fort Pitt Museum. After all, it’s the site of the original Fort Pitt. The museum is actually housed in the place of the original Monogahela Bastion!
We clearly weren’t the only ones to appreciate the beauty
The park’s a popular place for weekend excursions, and of course tailgating!!!!
Fort Pitt Museum
I still haven’t grown to love American history yet, but I can’t resist museums, especially when there’s a friend with me. Hence, we stepped in for a does of Pittsburgh history.
The museum is (almost disappointingly) small, but packs an amazingly dense amount of knowledge in only 1.5 floors.
My favourite part had to be the real cannons and weapons on display
After soaking up knowledge and plenty of sunlight, we headed back downtown and found a cool square with the original Pirmantis AND Old Oyster House! *hint, hint*
Well, that’s it for this week! Adventures are definitely more fun with friends, so be sure to expect a few more in the future. I hope everyone has a great week ahead. Halloween’s coming up and after that’s the official holiday season (although Christmas displays in stores would beg to differ).
Until next time, Bye!
Another good place to go, especially with Friends. And congrats on your first salary!🌹
