Happy New Years!!!! The Best of 2019 Revisted

Welcome to 2020!!!

I honestly can’t believe another year (and decade) has passed. I’m only 18, but sometimes, I still feel like that 8 year old who couldn’t wait to FINALLY hit double digits 😉

Well, I thought I’d take the opportunity to reflect on the best.. and most delicious… moments of 2019!

Best Eats

College life meant that 2019 was relatively light on food adventures, but I still got plenty in 😉

Canton 8 took the prize hands down

The ridiculously delicious food combined with out of the world service, atmosphere all for a more than reasonable price made me wonder why I waited until 2019 to try it out

Of course, the year can’t be complete without my beloved sushi and grilled fish. Mifune NYC definitely impressed (although for a hefty price)

Best Creations

I am proud of all the creations I post, but a few stood out in terms of deliciousness or creativity.

My two taste testers unanimously voted for the Ridiculous Bread Pudding

BUT….. since the quest for a healthier 2020 has probably started, its probably better to stick to something healthier, like this Upgraded Bak Kut Teh (bone tea)

The addition of fish maw and dried abalone create a broth so rich in umami, no one will guess how healthy it is!

Best Memories

This year, I had the privilege of exploring Pittsburgh. I went on 9 “Pittsburgh Adventures”. By far my favourite was the visit to Point State Park with my friend.

The weather was incredible and we just had the most amazing time walking around. Experiences are truly better  shared.

Phipps also blew my mind.

I’m more than lucky to have one of the nation’s best botanical gardens literally less than a 20 minute walk from my dorm.

Those are the highlights of my 2019! I had the most amazing year and look forward to the one to come! I hope everyone does too. I’ll be back soon with a report of our New Year’s dinner. Until then, Cheers to 2020!
