Hi!!!! I’m back after an (unannounced) summer break- sorry about that…. But, I’m here to catch everyone up with all the summer happenings. As crazy as everything has been, I must say I got a lot done.
- Research- Research has definitely been the highlight of the summer. Our school has a cool program called SURA, where rising sophomores get research experience and tuition free units over the summer working as an RA (or on their own project) with a professor. I started the summer helping design and test surveys measuring attitudes towards COVID and then switched to another, even more involved project finding literature to support and helping design interventions for a simulation game aimed at improving collaboration in heirarchical institutions!
- Little Moochi – For those new to the Red Braised Twinkie, Little Moochi is the startup I’ve been interning at. They’ve designed an app that helps kids (and adults) develop healthy eating habits by turning mealtimes into a game (more info here). Back in January, they released their official V1, and now, Moochi 2.0 is just days away from its release!
- ….more….. math……- I like getting ahead, even if it means taking more math. Turns out, linear algebra is a lot harder than expected. Honestly, I’m still trying to get over the fact that I’ll only be 2 courses away from a math minor by the time I graduate
- Getting Busy in the Kitchen!- No school? Stuck at home? There go my excuses not to cook! I’ve been whipping something up pretty much every night. Most of it has been the standard red braising and stewing, but there have been some delicious additions to my repertoire.
I hope everyone’s hanging in there. I’ll be back soon with a summer recipe roundup! Until then, Bye!
you have had a very busy and fruitful summer, you have all the reason to be proud of yourself!
