As promised, I’m back with a recipe and this one is very special. I’ve been wanting to try this one out for YEARS, and finally decided to give it a try.
Wait.. roasted bone marrow? Where did I get bone marrow from? Does it even taste good? What’s the twist? To answer the first question, marrow is quite accessible. Any butcher will probably have plenty lying around… and for a REALLY good price. I got nearly 2lbs for less than $3
Does it taste good? a better question would be: Does butter taste good? Bone marrow is basically nutrient packed fat. It has the richness of butter along with collagen, glucosamine, glycine and B vitamins. But… saturated… fat… Don’t worry, the fat has adiponectin, a hormone that actually BREAKS DOWN fat and helps with insulin sensitivity
…. Back to the original question… yes, it’s delicious
Finally, whats the twist? I’m beefing up the marrow, literally, by adding ground beef and breadcrumbs to the mix. Warning: Not Safe for Vegans 😉
Let’s get cooking!
