Where I’ve been

Hi! Remember my goal of one post a week? Not going to happen ><

I planned to take this semester easy. That plan went down the drain a week in when I got the opportunity to audit…. Another maths class…..specifically, Analysis 2

Do I HAVE to go and pay attention? Nope. Am I spending 10+ hours a week working on it? Absolutely. This, in addition to other classes and weekly department events, doesn’t leave much energy for kitchen shenanigans.

We’ll be back with regularly scheduled content soon. In the meantime, here are some updates:

Grad School: I got into TWO schools- UCLA and UCSD. Both are amazing programmes that perfectly fit my interests.  I also got an interview with Harvard business school. This, predictably, didn’t go through, but intro the interview stage (and skipping first round) is good enough for me. I can’t believe I have the opportunity to work with my academic heroes. August cannot come soon enough!

Actual School: As alluded to earlier, Real 2 is kicking my arse. My prof for real 1 got me an A, but did NOT prepare me for the madness scribbled on the board this semester. I’m barely hanging in there, with the help of the prof, a TA, a maths friend and 2 classmates. I tried to also audit graph theory. That fell apart a week in. My other classes are nothing in comparison. Outside of class, ERC is going reasonably well. The first weeks were a bit of a disaster in terms of scheduling, but everything is back on track

Other: see the meme above. I will say that I went off campus twice (for non essential reasons),
