20 Healthy Recipes for 2020

Hi!!! The new semester’s officially started, and if last semester was great, this one’s going to be even more amazing (is that even possible?!) While I could go on ad nosium about how amazing CMU is, I’ll stay on track 😉

It’s halfway through January and I hope those resolutions are still going strong! One of the most common resolutions is  “eat healthier”. Unfortunately, this is far easier said than done, especially as life gets in the way and the motivation fizzles out. No wonder 80% of resolutions fail by February! Well, I’m here to help. These 20 delicious recipes that will make finally sticking to that diet a breeze!

Breakfast

  1. Spinach Oatmeal Pancakes
  2. Pumpkin Pancakes
  3. Healthy Breakfast Pizza
  4. Mung Bean Sweet Potato Porridge
  5. Upgraded eggs!- Bored of hard boiled? Switch things up with fragrant tea eggs, or some silky steamed eggs
  6. Pumpkin Spice Hummus

Mains

  1. Soups for the Win!- from the delicate Yellow croaker or snakehead soups to the rich Bone Tea to the outright indulgent Turtle soup, there’s nothing more comforting or easy than these hearty, healthy meals in a bowl
  2. Cauliflower Shrimp Tacos
  3. Roasted Cod with Pumpkin Puree
  4. Oven Roasted Salmon Head
  5. Grilled Blue Crab
  6. Egg Dumplings
  7. Steamed Pork Trotters

Snacks and Sides

  1. Marinated Beef shank

  6. Pickles- These sweet or spicy pickled daikon prove that healthy is anything but flavourless. Can’t find daikon? Give onions a try

I hope these recipes help keep the healthy momentum going. Even if “eat healthy” isn’t a goal, it’s nice to switch things up.
